Tier 5 ESSA Sustainability Accreditation
Exciting News! We’re thrilled to share that Showlite has earned a Tier 5 ESSA Sustainability Accreditation.
Showlite, the award-winning full-service exhibition provider has achieved Tier 5 – the highest possible level – in the ESSA Sustainability Accreditation, marking a major milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable operations.
The ESSA accreditation recognises businesses that demonstrate exceptional performance across all areas of sustainability – from environmental impact to staff wellbeing and community engagement.
Closing the gap
Having fallen just 11 points short of Tier 5 during its first accreditation assessment last year, Showlite made strategic improvements across the business to close the gap. With many of the foundations already in place, the team was able to focus efforts on key areas including waste reduction, transport, and social value.
"We made real progress over the past year. Since our last accreditation, we’ve been actively recycling our graphic materials through our partnership with Reconomy, reduced carbon output by sharing more of our van fleet transport and taken part in more community service projects. We also found calculating our carbon footprint much easier this time, thanks to better data management and the ESSA Carbon Calculator. Achieving Tier 5 is something we’re incredibly proud of - but it’s not the end. We’ll keep looking for new ways to improve and stay accountable."
