waste Management: like most companies these days we're trying to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum to help reduce our impact on the environment.
At Showlite we take our responsibility of minimising our impact on the environment very seriously. Our environmental policy is a real, living and breathing undertaking that guides everything we do. We always consider the use of environmentally efficient materials, processes and equipment and, where practicable and, in conjunction with Organisers and Exhibitors, undertake to make the most sustainable choice available. Low energy lighting is offered and used wherever practical and advice is freely given to exhibitors with regards to their stands' lighting levels and energy consumption.
We know exhibitions have historically created a lot of waste so we actively seek to minimise the waste we create by reducing, re-using or recycling materials wherever possible. As part of our ongoing commitment to investing in more environmentally-friendly products, we recently launched 'ShowWire', our reusable, plug together electrical wiring system which allows us to reuse cabling , thereby significantly reducing the amount discarded for recycling (for more info click here).
Internally, we actively encourage a number of actions including car sharing between our employees and subcontractors and, as far as we can, ensure our commercial vehicles are not run empty.
These measures are being achieved through a long-term education campaign on waste minimisation so that all our employees are made aware through our standard working practices. Although we won't change the world on our own, we at Showlite are proud of our policies that help reduce the environmental impact of our business, employees and you, our customers.
